I got an early start from Khon Kean headed to Kalasin Province and the Sirindhorn Museum,
The museum has a lot of different exhibits on the evaluation of the world and Thailand but the star are the dinosaur exhibits.
Following is a short video I did at the museum.
From the Museum it said it was about an hour ride to
Phu Faek Forest Park and the Dinosaur Footprints. Not sure how long it took me but seems I am always slower than google says.
It was a short hike from the parking area to the footprints.
Put my foot in a picture to show the scale.
I don't have a setup to capture video while I am riding my motorcycle but decided to try and capture a short clip. I held my phone in one hand and drove down the road and listen to the rattle of my phone holder without a phone.
I found the road through the Phu Faek Forest Park very different and pretty.
I rode going to see
Chai Mongkol Grand Pagoda and with over 10 kilometers still to go I could see the stupa up on top of a hill. The only problem was I could never figure out how to get into the grounds. My GPS took me to a closed gate and I followed the property wall around and found an entrance that had barriers in front of it and no signs in English.
I maybe should have tried to figure out what I was supposed to do to enter but I was too lazy and figured I had seen enough from a distance.
I found a hotel with a pool in the small town of Loeng Nok Tha and ended the day playing in the pool.
