Sing Buri (สิงห์บุรี) and Ang Thong (อ่างทอง)

My first stop of the day was at Wat Sai (วัดไทร) in the province of Singburi. This is a temple ruin taken over by banyan tree roots.

The temple sets along side of the Chao Phraya River and I found it to be a pretty view.

Wat Na Phra That (โบราณสถานวัดหน้าพระธาตุ) was my next stop of the day. This temple seems very similar to the temples at Ayutthaya.

When riding to Wat Na Phra That I had past a large walking Buddha and since I was returning past there I stopped at Phutthamonthon (พุทธมณฑล) and took a picture.

I had broken my phone a few months ago and lost a number of pictures and talked about it in the post Hitting the Road, Oh No. The one site that I was disappointed in losing picture from was Wat Tham Krabok (วัดถ้ำกระบอก). It was a bit of a detour to Saraburi province but I decided I would return to this site and replace my pictures.

I also uploaded the following short while at Wat Tham Krabok (วัดถ้ำกระบอก).

About a hundred meters away from the temple I saw a large statue so went in and took a couple of pictures. I think this is the former King of Thailand but there was nothing on Google maps so I have no idea what this garden and statue are called. I don't think the gate was opened the last time I came to this area and not really sure I was supposed to me in here when I took the pictures but the gate was left open by the workers taking care of the gardens.

My next stop was at Ban Hun Lek (บ้านหุ่นเหล็ก). This places takes scrap or junk and forms these creations. I was not sure I really wanted to go here because it is not my normal type of attraction but enjoyed it and though the 60 baht entrance fee was well spent.

I did a slideshow of my pictures from Ban Hun Lek (บ้านหุ่นเหล็ก) but YouTube would not let me post it so put it up on facebook. You can click on the Slideshow and think you can watch even if you don't have a facebook account.

Following are a few pictures from Ban Hun Lek that I didn't include in the slideshow.

After checking into a hotel in Ang Thong I headed over to watch the Fruit Bats at Wat Chanthraram (วัดจันทราราม). Following are the short I uploaded as well as the longer video I made after returning home at the end of the trip. At first I thought that the number of bats at this temple were a lot less than the other two bat temples I had been to visit but then a stream of bats came flying into the trees surounding this temple. I was amazed to see this stream of bats flying over my head.

When the sun set I headed off to a local market to find something to eat and headed back to my hotel after a enjoyable day.
