I started the day visiting another small Khmer temple Prang Ku (Prasat Nong Ku).
My next stop was at Wat Pa Thewapithak Pracha Bamrung which was another display of Buddhist hell. The site seemed to have seen better days and was in a really run down state.
I made my way to Wat Burapha Phiram. This temple has the largest standing Buddha in Thailand.
I next visited Wat Klang Ming Mueang to see the temple's wall paintings.
Just a few blocks away I stopped at Wat Nuea.
I did not take any pictures while visiting the Roi Et National Museum but found it an interesting stop and had the museum all to myself.
I went back to my hotel for a bit of rest and to cool off and started looking through an old version of Lonely Planet.
The book listed Wat Pa Non Sawan as one of the sites to see and it was not on my list.
I found it on the map and sort of back tracked going past my first stop of the day to find it.
I found this temple to be sort of a fun place with all sort of large images.
I climbed the stairs to the top on the tower. There was not any view from the top so just got me really sweaty and I was not sure some of the stairs would hold my weight.
This temple also had its own version of Buddhist hell.
This is a short video I made at Wat Pa Sawan.
I had ridden around Somdej Phra Srinagarindra Park on arriving in Roi Et but returned in the early evening. I got a picture of the flute looking building and sat and ate an ice cream on a park bench.
Roi Et was an interesting town and kept me busy for a full day.
