I wanted to go to a festival in the city of Chonburi and decided to stop a few places along the way. Not sure where I heard about Wat Khao Phra Kru in the city of Si Racha but I would be going by it and decided to make the stop. You usually have to take off your shoes when going into a temple so I removed mine and my socks got a bit wet walking around the platform over looking the city and the sea. The short stop was well worth the wet socks.
I spent the night in the beach town of Bang Saen. The little I know about this town is that it is mostly used by Thai people escaping Bangkok on the weekends. Since I was there on a Thursday night and with a little bit of rain the thousands of beach chairs were mostly empty.
