I think the first time I ever saw dragon fruit was in a Hong Kong market but did not try it unit I was in Vietnam. I have since then eaten it a number of times but it has always been the white insides with the red skin. This is my first time eating dragon fruit with the red insides.
I did not notice much of a difference in the taste but find the bright red color and juice striking. I may have to buy both a white and red one on my next trip to the market to really do a taste test comparison.
