All Good in Kanchanaburi

Just a quick post to say all is good with me in Thailand. I have received a few emails asking if I was impacted by the earthquake yesterday. I didn't feel it and have not heard of any damages in Kanchanaburi even though it is closer to the epicenter than Bangkok.

Sorry I have not posted anything in a while. I have moved to a new place and been here for almost a month now. Following is the picture of the apartment building where I am now living. I have not been out playing tourist much lately.

The main reason for my move was I wanted to be closer to the Bars I like to visit and where I play darts. It was difficult at times to get a taxi home if I stayed out past 10:30PM. I can now walk to the bars on one of the main tourist streets in the city of Kanchanaburi and more important I can walk home at the end of the night.

I also can walk down to the river Kwai if I can endure the heat of Thailand. The following photo was taken from the Kwai Yai Bridge which is about 300 meters or 300 yards from my apartment.

I recently stopped at a cafe along the River Kwai Noi and when taking pictures of the river the lady that ran the place thought I needed a picture of myself. Here is one of the pictures she took for me.
