The weather in Thailand has been cooler than the rest of the year so I decided I needed to get and do something.
Currently it is harvest season for the sugarcane and on today's ride I was often following trucks that were overloaded with sugarcane. The road often had a number of stalks that had falling off the trucks every few meters. The air quality is also bad because they burn the fields before harvesting.
My plan is to spend 2 weeks away visiting some of the provinces that I have not yet visited. My first stop was at
Wat Tham Khao Wong
(วัดถ้ำเขาวง อุทัยธานี) in the province of Uthai Thani.
It is a really pretty setting for a temple with the pond in front and the rock cliff behind it. Following are a few pictures I took but don't think they capture how pretty this place is.
I know this is a travel blog but I have to say I really dislike it when they make changes to an app I use on my phone. I often upload shorts on the YouTube app and after recording a number of shots to compromise the video I hit a snag due to a change in the app and ended up losing my recorded clips.
Following is the 2nd attempt at a short on the app.
I rode about an hour more and found a hotel in the town of Lan Sak. I plan to return via the province on Uthai Thani but more to the east going via the city of Uthai Thani. This is my first new province of 2025 and I have set the goal of visiting 10 new province in 2025.
