Riding the rails in Bulgaria
The other day I took a train from Bansko to Plovdiv. A lot of the ride was on a narrow gauge train through the mountains. The views were outstanding. I took a number of videos and pictures but only a few turned out well. Below are a few that I thought turned out well.
It was a great way to spend the day at a cost of only about 5 euros well worth the money.
I spent a lot of the trip setting in the door to get in and out of the train since the view was great here and not through dirty windows. It was also wonderful having the full breeze on a hot Bulgarian day.
I hope you enjoy the pictures a little bit as much as I enjoyed taking them.

ReplyDeleteHey Keith!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Bulgaria too, but a little bit more south.... Burgas!
What's your next destination?
I travelled with a friend for a month, but now I'll continue alone in Istanbul.
Ciao!
Wow you cover some ground. You were just in Lithuania. Maybe someday we will be in the same place at the same time. We are really close right now with me in Varna and you in Burgas.
DeleteAs always like the pictures and enjoy reading the blog. Hope you are shaking your head the right way and not missing any more buses.

I think I will just have to stay out of Bulgaria. I can not get use to shaking my head to mean yes. I will do my best with the buses and trains but making mistakes seems to just happen.
DeleteThanks for reading.
Could be Colorado. Mom
